Itinerary
DAY 1: Cuiabá – Pantanal – Porto Jofre.
Arrival at Cuiabá, Mato Grosso airport. You will be welcomed by our staff and transferred to the city of Poconé in a trip that will last 1:30 minutes (100 km), then we will continue our trip on the Transpantaneira highway on a paved road. During the trip stops will be scheduled so that you can photograph the animals during the trip here we can see animals such: capybaras, caimans, savannah hawks, jabiru storks, anteaters, deer, guara wolf, marsh cat, peccaries, monkeys, anacondas, lizards, armadillos, coaties, turtles, reptiles, Tapirs, ostriches, macaws, parrots, toucans, eagles, and many species of birds that will keep you fascinated.
Arrival at the lodge in Porto Jofre.

DAY 2, 3, and 4: Porto Jofre – Jaguarland – Porto Jofre
After breakfast, we will head to the State Park of Meeting of the Waters, home to the largest concentration of jaguars on the planet, earning it the nickname Jaguarland. This is a highly valuable region where you will encounter promising areas for jaguar sightings, such as the Cuiabá River, the Três Irmãos River, and the Piquiri River. In this area, you’ll have the chance to film and photograph wild jaguars from fast boats. You might even witness a jaguar hunting a caiman or a pair of jaguars mating on the riverbank. If you’re lucky, you could even spot a jaguar with its cubs. Without a doubt, you’ll witness unique moments that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime in Jaguarland. You’ll also have the opportunity to observe giant otters, caimans, capybaras, and numerous bird species.

DAY 5: Porto Jofre – Pantanal – Pouso Alegre Lodge.
After breakfast at our lodge, we will set off along the Transpantaneira, making multiple stops to observe the region’s diverse wildlife as we travel toward our next destination: Pousada Pouso Alegre Lodge. Spanning approximately 8,000 hectares, this lodge provides visitors with an immersive experience in the Pantanal’s rich biodiversity and traditional lifestyle.
The lodge features 24 rooms equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, and private bathrooms with hot showers, ensuring comfort within a rustic and authentic setting.
Guests can enjoy a variety of activities designed to explore the lodge’s abundant flora and fauna, including:
- Eco-Trails: Guided walks along trails that allow for close observation of birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
- Photo Safaris: Excursions in specially adapted vehicles for wildlife observation and photography, with opportunities to spot iconic species such as the jabiru stork (tuiuiu), blue macaws, tapirs, caimans, deer, monkeys, anteaters, capybaras, eagles, and a wide array of animals that inhabit the surroundings of this lodge.
DAY 6: Pouso Alegre Lodge – Pantanal – Cuiabá
After breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Cuiabá. This return trip will provide final glimpses of the Pantanal’s stunning landscapes and the chance to spot wildlife along the Transpantaneira road. Lunch will be enjoyed at a lodge along the way. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel in Cuiabá.
